New Year's Resolutions

Did you make any resolutions this year?  Did you resolve to go on a diet, lose 10 lb, fit into a size 6, get fit, work harder, work less, meditate or take up a hobby?  If you did, how is it working for you? 

These resolutions all seem worthy of effort at first glance, but they are difficult goals to attain if there is no plan in place to reach them.  These are end goals.  They sound great, but unless you have thought out the path to reaching them they will be hard to meet. 

The great thing about eating healthfully is that you can start making changes anytime and every time you eat, anywhere.  Start small and if you fail there is always the next snack or meal to make better choices. 


Why not resolve to:

  • Eat an apple a day.  
  • Use brown rice instead of white rice.  
  • Add two stalks of celery to your lunch.
  • Drink 2 litres of water a day, filling a water bottle daily to remind you to attain that goal. 
  • The small steps are countless, but they will improve your health and help you reach your goals.
