Happy New Year to you!
I don’t know about you, but I am ready to settle back into some kind of routine. December was a very busy and exciting month around our house. Our son and daughter both came home from school early in December - it is always nice to have them home! We were busy preparing for Christmas when a cold snap hit and we had temperatures of – 40 F. My husband went into vacation mode and we booked a quick get away to Mexico for a week of sun and water, returning home on Christmas Eve. Then it was off to the Rocky Mountains for some family time with my sister and her family. Whew!
I have spent the last couple of days cleaning house and getting back into the swing of things. The tree is down, the house has been cleaned and our daughter has returned to school. We are getting back to some semblance of normal, but waking up to the alarm is still not easy!
The New Year affords us the chance to reflect upon the previous year, make changes, set goals and start fresh. After the indulgences of the Christmas season, it seems natural to make these changes and a welcome shift. I am looking forward to catching up with you and sharing my thoughts on nutrition, goal setting and recipes to help reach those goals!
